Once you have found your business from the company search results and completed the contact details, TrustMark will write to you enclosing the DBS application form and all needed documentation to support your application.
TrustMark are a ‘Responsible Body’ and will apply for the DBS check on your behalf. A Basic Disclosure is the lowest level of Disclosure and is available to anyone who applies on the appropriate form. They
can be used for any purpose. They will show details of all convictions considered to be unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, or state that there are no convictions and information about whether an applicant is subject
to notification requirements under the Sex Offenders Register
Should any unspent convictions be reported on the Basic Disclosure, this information will be shared with Buckinghamshire & Surrey Trading Standards, as our Primary Authority Partner and we will take guidance from them regarding the
progression of your application.
