Quality Assurance Surveyors

Overview

We are looking to recruit a driven individual from a Building trade/ Construction related background, to undertake building fabric inspections post the completion of works being undertaken.

The surveys will be based on completed works within the domestic property environment. Therefore, a good knowledge of domestic building, preferably through a related trade qualification, would be preferable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and deliver inspection reports across multiple differing projects, ensuring that quality is maintained
  • Managing the identification and correction of identified issues
  • Reporting any unsafe situations identified whilst carrying out visits

You'll be part of our team of surveyors drawn from various trade backgrounds, reporting to a Lead Surveyor. While you will carry out visits independently, you'll always have the support of your team, with opportunities to share knowledge, expertise, and learn from others in a friendly and supportive environment.

Travelling to properties is a key part of the role, so successful candidates will be considered based on their ability and flexibility to cover areas in and around:

  • Birmingham
  • Watford/Hounslow
  • NE London

Here’s What You Will Need to Be Successful in the Role

  • Good Building trade/construction-based knowledge and experience and or experience within domestic home upgrades.
  • Ideally hold relevant Building Trade/Construction/service installer qualification or similar qualification in relation to domestic properties.
  • Experience and awareness of building construction, standards, and legislation.
  • Ability to work remotely and on own initiative managing your portfolio of work efficiently to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality in all areas of your work.
  • Provide excellent customer service - being the external representative of TrustMark to homeowners and other end users.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.
  • Be empathetic and understanding of situations but with the ability to remain independent focusing on the matter in hand.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated applications.
  • Travelling will be required and may include some overnight accommodation away from home.
  • A current, valid driving licence will be required as will a DBS clearance.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
