Why Choose Trusted Payments?

TrustMark has partnered with Trusted Payments to help TrustMark Registered Businesses offer homeowners a more secure, transparent way to pay for home improvement work.

Home improvement projects usually mean paying out large sums before the work is finished, a leap of faith for the homeowner and an uncertain wait for the business. Trusted Payments removes the guesswork. The final payment is secured up front; every other payment is released only when a milestone is met combined with a unique project and post completion warranty and Ombudsman protection for a fixed price.

Whether you're carrying out a kitchen installation, insulation project or renewable energy installation, Trusted Payments helps build trust from quote to completion.

How Trusted Payments actually works: the completion payment is collected up front and held from the start of the project. Every other milestone payment is collected when that milestone is marked complete, but the payment is held for 24 hours before it releases, giving the consumer time to consider.

  2. Secure. The completion payment is secured up front and held for the life of the project.

  4. Complete. Snags are agreed and completed, records, documentation and the insurance backed warranty are stored securely.

How Do Payments Work?

Your customer commits the completion payment upfront and then at each milestone pay the required amount for the milestone you set. When the consumer marks the stage as complete the consumer sends you the payment. No invoicing, no chasing and you can request the payment to be made.

What Does It Cost Me?

There is a trade on boarding fee of £35 plus VAT only paid, and then a fixed fee per project of £45 inc VAT and up to £4 per payment, these are deducted from the consumers completion payment held from the beginning. If you submit the quote to the consumer you can add these fees onto your quote automatically.

What If A Customer Disputes My Work?

The Dispute Resolution Ombudsman assesses it independently and makes a binding decision. That protects you from customers withholding payment unreasonably, and it protects your reputation in a way that arguing publicly never will.

What If A Customer Refuses To Sign off?

The dispute process is available to you as well as to them. It is not a one way protection but it is also there to protect you.
