Financial Protection for the Self-Funded Market
TrustMark's independent Financial Protection Panel already reviews the guarantees and insurance-backed protection that underpins work delivered through capital and grant-funded schemes, ensuring homeowners on those schemes are properly safeguarded. Recognising the value installers and homeowners place on that robust oversight, several insurers providing financial protection for privately funded (\"self-funded\") work have chosen to put their policies through the same independent process.
Each provider listed here has had its policy assessed by the Panel — drawing on independent legal, financial, insurance and regulatory expertise — against the same exacting standards TrustMark applies across all its approved mechanisms. For installers, that means an additional, trusted choice of financial protection for privately funded jobs: cover you can offer with confidence, backed by providers who have proactively sought TrustMark's endorsement as a mark of quality and reliability.
It remains the responsibility of every TrustMark Registered Business to check that a listed provider's policy covers the trade, scope and value of the specific work being undertaken before it is offered to a customer. Panel approval confirms that a provider's financial protection mechanism has been independently assessed and meets TrustMark's standards; it is not a guarantee that any policy covers a particular job. Businesses should always confirm current terms, trade eligibility and cover limits directly with the provider. TrustMark accepts no liability for any loss arising from a business's use of, or reliance on, a listed provider's financial protection product.
